Work with dedication, live with passion. To strengthen team cohesion and give everyone a well-deserved break from busy schedules, I-FLOW organized a three-day team-building journey to Chengdu, a city where history, nature, and modern life blend seamlessly. From the mysterious brilliance of the ancient Shu civilization to adorable giant pandas, from world-famous hydraulic engineering wonders to Chengdu’s laid-back urban rhythm, this journey was filled with discovery, connection, and unforgettable moments.
Day 1 | Walking Through Three Thousand Years: Ancient Shu Meets Modern Chengdu
On December 26, filled with anticipation, the I-FLOW team arrived in Chengdu. A professional local guide warmly welcomed us, and a carefully arranged authentic Sichuan lunch immediately immersed everyone in the city’s hospitality and flavors.
The afternoon destination was the Sanxingdui Museum, the largest single-building archaeological museum in Southwest China. Known as “Sleeping for three thousand years, awakening to astonish the world,” Sanxingdui left a deep impression on everyone. The magnificent golden masks, towering bronze sacred trees, and solemn bronze figures revealed the mystery and brilliance of the ancient Shu civilization. Guided explanations led us through layers of history and unsolved mysteries, allowing us to travel across millennia and appreciate the cultural depth of Sichuan.
As evening fell, everyone explored Chengdu freely. Some wandered through Kuanzhai Alley, tracing the city’s historical and cultural roots along Kuan Alley, Zhai Alley, and Jing Alley. Others headed to Chunxi Road, experiencing Chengdu’s modern vitality through fashion, food, and bustling city life. The city’s charm unfolded in countless ways.
Day 2 | Engineering Wisdom and Natural Serenity: Dujiangyan & Mount Qingcheng
On December 27, we departed from the city center and traveled toward Dujiangyan, the birthplace of the fertile Tianfu Plain. Our first stop was the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site built over 2,000 years ago under the guidance of Li Bing and his son.
Standing before the ingenious structures of Yuzui, Feishayan, and Baopingkou, everyone marveled at the ancient engineers’ wisdom and vision. Crossing the Anlan Suspension Bridge, gazing at the Qin’an Tower, and climbing to Yulei Pavilion, we enjoyed breathtaking views of the Minjiang River and the surrounding landscape—an inspiring blend of history and nature.
After lunch, the journey continued to Mount Qingcheng, one of the birthplaces of Taoism. Light rain refreshed the air as the team climbed together along winding stone paths. Towering ancient trees, misty mountain scenery, and quiet conversation created a peaceful atmosphere. Through shared steps and relaxed interactions, colleagues bonded more deeply, experiencing both the beauty of nature and the warmth of teamwork.
In the evening, everyone returned to Chengdu for a long-awaited authentic Sichuan hot pot dinner, where spicy flavors and laughter washed away the day’s fatigue.
Day 3 | Pandas, the Three Kingdoms, and Chengdu’s Slow Life
On December 28, the final day remained full of excitement. The morning began at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, where everyone enjoyed close encounters with the city’s most beloved residents. Watching the pandas’ playful behavior brought smiles all around while offering insight into conservation efforts.
A touching moment followed: General Manager Mr. Owen personally prepared panda plush toys as gifts for employees’ children. This thoughtful gesture extended the warmth of the company beyond the workplace, creating a heartwarming memory that resonated deeply with everyone.
Next, the team visited Wuhou Temple, a historic site commemorating Zhuge Liang and the heroes of the Three Kingdoms. Walking through the temple grounds, everyone felt the enduring spirit of dedication, loyalty, and responsibility symbolized by Zhuge Liang’s lifelong commitment.
Just outside lay Jinli Ancient Street, where history meets everyday life. Team members strolled through ancient lanes, sampled local snacks, selected souvenirs, and enjoyed the relaxed pace that defines Chengdu’s lifestyle. The journey concluded at People’s Park, a space blending gardens, culture, history, and leisure—an ideal setting to reflect and unwind before departure.
Together in Chengdu, United for the Future
Over these three days, we explored Sichuan’s landscapes, immersed ourselves in ancient culture, and—most importantly—strengthened our team spirit through shared experiences. Every step taken together reinforced trust, understanding, and collaboration.
This short pause was taken for a stronger start ahead.Carrying the warmth, inspiration, and unity gained from this journey, the I-FLOW team now moves forward with renewed energy and closer cooperation—ready to embrace new challenges and write the next chapter together!
